Submission of Research Data

Procedure for the submission of research data

The PsychData database will be integrated into the discipline-specific repository PsychArchives. You can now archive and publish your research data there. Data in PsychArchives are currently exclusively provided as public use files, i.e. all data are freely available and can be used by anyone for any purpose. The exact terms of use are determined by a CC-BY-SA 4.0 or CC-BY 4.0 license. It is therefore important that you ensure that no third party rights are infringed by the publication, and that the data have been anonymized. Publication under an embargo of up to three years is also possible.

Research data submission is done via the PsychArchives Submission Assistant: Here you can upload your data together with a codebook and enrich the files with relevant metadata. Please make sure to take into account our technical guidelines concerning recommended file formats. After double-checking the correctness of your information, you can submit the data to PsychArchives. Your submission will then be reviewed and approved by the PsychArchives team; the DOI of the data will be sent to you by email.

The submission of code (e.g. data preparation and analysis scripts) related to the dataset is also possible via the Submission Assistant. Information on the submission of other Digital Research Object (DRO) types, such as articles, preprints, audio and video content etc., can be found here:
